I write articles. That is the job.
If you want something written the way I actually write it – honest, a bit sweary, no corporate polish – it costs £300. That is the price. I do not do mates’ rates and I do not do “exposure”.
I will say it how it is. If the story is messy I will leave it messy. If someone looks bad I will not tidy them up to make them look better. If the piece needs to be uncomfortable I will make it uncomfortable. That is what you are paying for.
I am good at turning complicated or buried stuff into something people actually read. Threads, longer features, the kind of thing that gets shared and argued about. I work fast once I have what I need. I do not disappear. I do not send you three rounds of “just tweaking the tone”.
What I will not do is write puff pieces, advertorials dressed up as journalism, or anything that requires me to pretend I am nicer than I am. If that is what you want, there are plenty of other writers.
