So, news, stories and investigations, it’s what I do, and I’m really good at it. I’ve been locked in this ridiculous back-and-forth with a guy for a while now. All I actually wanted was to be treated properly. Basic consistency, a bit of respect, the bare minimum. I’ll be honest: I’m not used to not getting my own way. Most people adjust when I push back. This one just kept doing whatever suited him. Classic.
This post is mainly for him.
I’ve been doing a bit of proper digging (occupational hazard). And it turns out he’s been a bit of a naughty bugger. He’s got the quiet confidence and the cheek of someone who could easily pass for a Chad, even while he insists he isn’t one. Soft voice, “I’m complicated” energy, the whole routine. The evidence is rather more entertaining.
While all of this has been going on, this absolute maestro has also been seeing two of his ex’s best friends. One of them, from a quick look at her socials, appears to be “happily” married. The logistics alone are almost impressive. I’m not even mad. I’m genuinely a little impressed. You’re my kind of scumbag, and I mean that as a compliment. You can carry on screwing your collection of desperate 40 year old hags, that’s of no concern of mine. I just want a deal.
I have zero interest in naming anyone. I’m not going to. This little feud has already gone on longer than it needs to. Names just make everything messier than necessary.
But mister, contact me. I think we should make a deal.
You want certain details to stay quietly where they are. I want the nonsense to stop and a clearer way of dealing with each other going forward. Those two things can sit very comfortably at the same table. I don’t want money (I have enough). I just want resolve. In the City we’d call this “the banker”, both sides walking away with something useful.
I’m not interested in public fireworks or going to anyone else. I’d much rather we handle it like the two business-minded people we are. We both have things the other can use. We both know how to get back on project and actually make things move. And yes, before you do that perfect little smile of yours, we both know you secretly miss the banter.
You know how to reach me. I know you still follow the blog.
Speak soon.
A deal’s on the table.
I’ve taken the makeup and the mask off for this one. Let’s see if you can do the same.
Your move, sunshine.
